Zay’Marie, an emerging artist from Virginia Beach now based in Washington, DC, is quickly becoming the DMV’s newest superstar. Her unique blend of soulful R&B and vibrant pop captivates audiences with its emotional depth and infectious energy, drawing listeners into her world with every performance.
Her single, “Too Far,” recently nominated for a W.A.M. music award is set to win her first award in their Pop Music category for her smash hit single that has garnered over 140,000 streams on Spotify alone. She returns to release her highly anticipated new single, “Inconvenience Fee” on November 22, 2022. This new project highlights her continuous growth and evolution of her craft.
Sold out shows and a growing fanbase help to illustrate that this young lady is here for a reason, and she is earning her incursion of the limelight with highly engaging music and social media content. The Spelman College alumna is making a name for herself as her music and brand continues to spread around the globe.
After graduating from Spelman College, the DMV native returned home to pursue her music journey full time, and she’s been making her dream a reality. Winning a W.A.M. music award on Nov. 17 will offer more social proof that she is here to stay. If you are in the DMV area, I highly suggest coming to one of her upcoming shows at The Pocket DC and DC MetroBar. Tickets available on Eventbrite and Bands in Town.
