Two powerhouse names in music — CMA New Artist of the Year Megan Moroney and legendary songwriter Diane Warren — are set to share the stage in Nashville for a one-of-a-kind event. On September 2, FEMco will launch its brand-new interview series at Anzie Blue with “Nashville Welcomes Diane Warren: In Conversation with Megan Moroney.”
A Historic First-Time Conversation
Moderated by FEMco’s founder Leslie Fram, this event will be the first time Warren and Moroney appear together on stage. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. and will raise funds for local animal rescue organizations through Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation. Middle Tennessee State University’s College of Media & Entertainment, led by dean Beverly Keel, is sponsoring the one-hour ticketed event.
Celebrating Iconic Songwriting and Rising Talent
“Having Diane Warren, one of the greatest songwriters of our time, pour her heart into Nashville’s vibrant music community is nothing short of inspiring,” said Fram. “Her legacy of crafting timeless hits elevates our city’s reputation as a hub for the world’s best songwriters. We’re thrilled to see her shine a spotlight on rising star Megan Moroney, whose raw talent and authentic storytelling embody the spirit of country music.”
Moroney has quickly become one of country music’s brightest stars. Her breakout single “Tennessee Orange” earned 4x multi-platinum status, while her album Am I Okay? debuted in the Billboard 200’s top 10. She was named CMA New Artist of the Year and received Billboard’s Women in Music Rulebreaker Award. Her latest single, “6 Months Later,” climbed into the top 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Warren’s career needs little introduction. Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001, she has penned timeless hits such as “Un-break My Heart,” “Because You Loved Me,” and “If I Could Turn Back Time.” With 16 Academy Award nominations, 15 Grammy nominations, and one Grammy win, her songs have appeared in over 150 films. She has written for icons including Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Celine Dion, and Aretha Franklin, and remains the sole owner of her publishing company, Realsongs.
FEMco’s Mission to Empower Artists
FEMco (Fram Entertainment and Music) was launched earlier this year by Leslie Fram, a longtime CMT executive. Its mission is to amplify artists’ voices, offering career development, talent services, and new opportunities for female artists to thrive in Nashville’s music industry. The organization also created FEMcountry, a showcase series celebrating women in country music, spotlighting talents such as Ashland Craft, Brittney Spencer, Angie K, Caylee Hammack, and more.
The September 2 event will take place at Anzie Blue, a 250-capacity venue in Nashville’s Hillsboro Village, co-owned by Marcie Allen and Derek Van Mol.
“FEMco’s dedication to uplifting Nashville’s ever-expanding pool of talent is truly exciting,” Fram added. “The diversity of genres and creators here has never been stronger. We’re committed to amplifying that energy and ensuring the future of music in our city shines brighter than ever.”
